Safeguard 50450 front-release 18" x 5" x 5" cage trap with a solid back is great for squirrels of all types, chipmunks, weasel, rats, etc. Easy to set and bait. Bait this trap with peanuts, walnuts, peanut butter or your favorite professionally prepared bait. Lead squirrels into the trap by placing a couple of shelled peanuts in the entrance of the trap.

STANDARD SERIES FEATURES: All traps of 24" and larger are made of Galfan® wire as opposed to common galvanized wire for a higher corrosion resistance, resulting in a three-times longer life. Safeguard Traps are made with a heavy-duty reinforced spring-loaded door, to provide maximum performance and superior animal retention.

All traps include a heavy-duty bait tray designed to eliminate damage by trapped animals.

TIP: Bait placement should be all the way to the rear of the trap, beyond the triggering pan.
